MEET THE FOUNDERS
We are a dedicated husband and-wife team, Saliha and Sheeraz, with a long track record in the fast fashion, luxury retail and wholesale industries.
In the past decade, we have collaborated with over 100 fashion brands & retailers to deliver sustainability and circular economy initiatives, facilitating recirculation of over 45 million items of unused clothing & shoes that would otherwise have ended up in landfill.
We discovered our passion for interior design & homeware when we bought our home in Surrey in 2017.
WHY OLUXE LIVING WAS LAUNCHED?
Excellent condition, gorgeous high-end materials, luxury products discarded, sounds shocking! We also thought this when we discovered that these perfectly usable with zero imperfection homeware products were being disposed of regularly by luxury retailers.
Luxury retailers lack systems to recover value from unsellable inventory such as ex-display, customer returns and end of line items. This leads to massive waste problems with negative environmental impacts, significant financial losses for retailers and missed opportunities for consumers
Our passion for stopping this wasteful process was sparked and led us to conduct further research. We discovered that almost 1 million tonnes of unused furniture and homeware items are discarded by luxury retailers in the UK and Europe every year. These beautiful items are sent to landfills or incinerated, creating harmful fumes resulting in massive carbon footprint
Our love of interior design, the passion to create a high-end luxury brand, and the desire to stop homeware from being sent to landfills drove us to launch OLUXE LIVING. We close the loop and increase sustainability within the homeware industry with great successÂ
OUR MISSION
To enable a circular economy in homeware by collaborating with luxury retailers to bring their unwanted & unused homeware items back into consumer circulation at affordable prices.
OUR BRAND
Our name, OLUXE represents the eco-friendly & circular economy, combined with good taste and luxury. The blending of these two central concepts emphasizes our ability to deliver top quality new products while at the same time achieving sustainability by recycling what could have become waste.
WHAT WE DO?
We collaborate with luxury retailers around the world to acquire their unsold homewares such as customer return items, ex display and previous season’s stock or end-of-line leftovers.
We lead the way in sustainability, advancing the circular economy in luxury furnishings while giving customers unique opportunities to purchase top quality brands at affordable prices. Together, we can prevent lovely, unused items from being dumped in landfill and reduce harm to the environment, while promoting eco-friendly lifestyle and reducing carbon footprint.
'OUR COLLABORATION WITH LUXURY RETAILERS BRINGS THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY TO CONSUMERS'
